Quenching process of pipe clamp
Quenching is one of the basic means to strengthen steel, quenching steel into martensite, and then tempering to improve toughness, is the traditional method to make steel obtain high comprehensive mechanical properties. So the quenching treatment is more important for the pipe clamp, the following small series to take you to understand the pipe clamp quenching treatment process.
1. The metal workpiece is heated to an appropriate temperature and maintained for a period of time, and then immersed in the quenching medium for rapid cooling of the metal heat treatment process.
2, quenching can improve the hardness and wear resistance of metal workpiece, so it is widely used in various tools, molds, measuring tools and parts requiring surface wear resistance (such as gears, rolls, carburized parts, etc.). Through quenching and tempering at different temperatures, the strength, toughness and fatigue strength of the metal can be greatly improved, and the coordination between these properties (comprehensive mechanical properties) can be obtained to meet different requirements.
3, quenching can make some special properties of steel to obtain a certain physical and chemical properties, such as quenching to enhance the ferromagnetism of permanent magnetic steel, stainless steel to improve its corrosion resistance. The quenching process is mainly used for steel parts. When commonly used steel is heated above the critical temperature, all or most of the original structure at room temperature will be transformed into austenite.
4, the rapid cooling during quenching will cause internal stress in the workpiece, and when it is large to a certain extent, the workpiece will be distorted and deformed or even cracked. For this reason, it is necessary to choose a suitable cooling method. According to the cooling method, the quenching process is divided into four categories: single liquid quenching, double medium quenching, martensite grading quenching and bainite isothermal quenching.
5. After quenching, the stiffness and strength of the pipe clamp are improved, so as to be more durable and of higher quality.
